Ward Manager– Crowborough


Salary: £43,000

We are looking for a credible, pro-active, team focused nursing leader to manage our clients ward.

Our client is seeking an experienced candidate with a demonstrable track record in leading nurses through periods of change, providing clinical & professional supervision, and ensuring quality and safety are maintained to their very high standards.  Additionally, someone with a creative and innovative flair with an understanding of budgetary restraints, notwithstanding local and national best practice.  This role is a key link for internal and external customers, stakeholders and you will need leadership skills in order to manage a multi-disciplinary team

Essential Skills

  • NMC Registration
  • Evidence of significant Continuing Professional Development
  • Evidence of management experience/training
  • NMC recognised Teaching/Assessing qualification
  • Evidence of being up to date with current issues relating to professional practice
  • Able to demonstrate practical application of quality standards within the clinical setting e.g. Care Quality Commission, NICE guidance
  • Able to demonstrate effective leadership and management of a team.
  • Evidence of research-based practice
  • Fully aware of clinical governance agenda
  • Confident to uphold principles of equality, diversity and rights
  • Understands the importance of infection control & health and safety in a healthcare environment

  • Demonstrates initiative, motivation and ability to lead a team through change
