£25,851 FTE
Based in Brighton

Our client is currently recruiting an experienced management professional, who values working within the community and supporting individuals to gain skills, knowledge and independence. You'll have overall responsibility for the welfare of people who use our clients service, keeping best practice and internal policy in mind.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage a team of project workers
  • Provide individualised and shared support for people and their families who use the service
  • Managing and supporting individuals with budgets and service funds where required
  • Liaising with family members, commissioners, brokers and advocates
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations
  • Support with completion of benefit forms and claims
  • Ensure all domestic arrangements are managed appropriately, adhering to our core values
  • Promote human and civil rights inclusion
  • Ensure SLA's are agreed and adhered against business requirements and standards
  • Active role in personal and professional development
The ideal candidate:
  • Experience of developing and maintaining high standards of support in relation to supported living
  • Experience of effectively and efficiently managing or supervising a staff team
  • Experience of challenging prejudice, discrimination and oppression
  • Significant experience of working with vulnerable people, in order to understand the particular care and support they need
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own workload, as agreed with the Regional Manager
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues discreetly and diplomatically
  • Ability to positively assess, manage and respond to risks
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a rota, including weekends and out of hours on-call as part of emergency cover where necessary
  • QCF/NVQ level 3, 4 or 5 in health and social care, or equivalent qualification or demonstrable comparable experience
