Job Title: Quality Engineering Manager

Location: Brighton

Start Date: January 2019

Salary: £40,000




· Design, maintenance, review and audit of the management systems, including quality, environmental and safety in accordance with the current ISO9001 accreditation

· Planning and scheduling internal audits, carrying out and documenting results, verifying that any corrective actions are carried out within the agreed timescales and the results are effective

· Review and report to the CEO on the management system ensuring all meetings are recorded and changes to the system are implemented

· Propose and manage the company sustainability efforts

· Provide contractual legal advice and analytical support for the business on request

· To manage the company’s interest in the SECG facility. Oversee and manage testing and report writing duties

· To provide the sales team and their customers with technical and practical advice upon request relating to specifications, applications, conformance and project management

· Work with purchasing and product development to ensure satisfactory relationship with all suppliers and contribute to supplier approval. Provide technical advice so that all materials, components and services are fit for purpose

· Interpret client requirements, identifying engineering/build problems and ensure solutions are implemented

· Propose and develop engineering solutions by supporting the design, definition and development of all engineering projects

· Assist sales and configuration to ensure customer expectations are met with regards to the quality and accuracy of bespoke products

· Ensuring that distributed products adhere to national and European legislation. To provide impartial advice to the company Directors, by interpreting product conformance legislation

· Attend training courses as and when required

· Fully support improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of processes by adhering to and promoting the principles of Lean

· Build good working relationships with all colleagues/departments, including a duty to care and respect all co-workers

· Perform any other reasonable duties as required


Skill Required

· Degree qualification in relevant subjects

· Previous experience of similar position at management level

· Good communication skills

· Proven analytical outlook with demonstrable attention to detail

· Flexible and co-operative working style

· IT Literate
