Managed Service Product Manager (Contractor)

Main function of the Job

Take a leading role in introducing and managing third party products and prices in Managed Service contracts.

Assist in the Contract Change Notice process.

Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key processes within the team and training material for key tools used.

Key Product Area 1: Third Party Products & Prices

To be the first point of contact for new third party product additions and price updates.

To work closely with Commercial Support Analysts to ensure product additions are included in the managed service contracts in an accurate and timely manner (e.g. via Contract Change Notice process).

To work closely with Commercial and Contract Managers to ensure the correct level of authorisation is secured prior to products being introduced

To keep an accurate and up to date record of product additions, substitutions and other amendments.

To manage the workflow of product introductions and maintain a tracker that provides visibility on the status of product introductions.

To use the status of product introductions to facilitate follow up actions with Commercial Managers, Contract Managers and third party suppliers.

To use the status of product introductions to facilitate status update reporting to customers.

To take a leading role during the annual price indexation process, working closely with Commercial Finance Analysts, Commercial Support Analysts and third party suppliers to update product prices in an accurate and timely manner.

To strive to improve the third party product introduction process and tools, by working with the colleagues in the Commercial Management function, suppliers and customers.

Key Product Area 2: Secondary support of the Contract Change Notice process

When required, assist Commercial Support Analysts, Commercial Managers and Contract Managers to ensure Contract Change Notices are processed in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Product Area 3: General

To assist the Commercial Management department in the implementation of new processes and systems as and when appropriate.

To represent the Commercial Management team on projects where required.

Foster a close working relationship with colleagues in the Commercial Management department and embrace opportunities to collaborate with other Business functions.

To ensure adherence to operating procedures (SOPs) for key processes and training material for key tools used.

To have a broad appreciation of the product range offered by Business Areas and the markets in which they are used. To strive to have a similar appreciation of third party products offered within our Managed Service contracts.

To carry out responsibilities as laid out in HS-01-04 (Health and Safety Manual)

To ensure that all relevant company policies and procedures are understood by self are adhered to.

In conjunction with line management, to initiate and act upon a personal development plan (PDP).

Third Party products and prices - maintain a robust process and records for third party product additions and price updates, ensuring changes are implemented quickly and effectively.

Contract Change Notices - assist in the maintenance of a robust process and record keeping for Contract Change Notices, ensuring changes are implemented quickly and effectively.

Educational qualifications:

Educated to A Level or equivalent

Experience Needed

Ability to be able to analyse, interpret and explain data to a range of external and internal customers.

IT literate with advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word)

Experience of Microsoft Sharepoint

Experience and track record:

Experience of engaging with external parties via telephone and email.

Experience of co-ordinating end to end administrative processes.

Experience of data input and data handling.

Experience of preparing and when necessary explaining reports.

Experience of working in Commercial environment within a large organisation.

Experience in managing expectations of multiple stakeholders.
