Background

Our client is a Brighton-based software company specialising in data capture apps, Designed for use on any mobile data platform (i.e. iOS, Android) across any hardware device (i.e. Smartphone, Tablet, PC) and integrates with all major CRM systems (i.e. Salesforce, Marketo).

Role:

They are looking for an enthusiastic test engineer to join the team to help test the server platforms and mobile applications & maintain the current software testing solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a university graduate, with no required commercial experience, to apply your existing skills and to gain new ones in a fast moving and exciting market and environment.

Responsibility for the complete end-to-end SW Product Verification Solution and SW Quality Assurance cycle

They are looking for someone with:

· A university background with a Computing related degree

· Any other technical graduates (Mathematics, Physics, etc.) who have an interest in becoming a software tester and have strong computer skills

· Strong prioritisation, organisational and time management skills

· Strong orientation towards strict Quality Control

· Excellent attention to detail validating software requirements to customer specifications

· Excellent internal and external commercial awareness and acumen

· Natural ability to communicate at all levels across internal departments/teams

· Self-motivated and driven to succeed in challenging environments

· A customer-centric and quality driven development philosophy

· Excellent analytical skills as an aide to learning new skills and technologies

· Enthusiasm and a strong work ethic as part of a team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•             Development of the complete End to End SW verification solution in line with the SW Test Strategy and overall SW Quality Assurance cycle

•             Implementation of the SW verification solution to include all aspects stages of SW verification covering BAT/UAT, Function Testing, Regression Testing, Performance, Load and Reliability Testing

•             Test Development and Reporting and the implementation of the complete E2E testing environment

•             To ensure all product software is validated according to requirements & functional specification and errors are identified and corrected prior to product release

•             Provision of time estimates for all SW testing tasks to Software Delivery Manager to ensure pricing & planning accuracy

•             Continuous communication and liaison with Software Delivery Manager for all active and upcoming projects to ensure all delivery targets are achieved to budget and specification

•             Be responsible for and manage all maintenance tasks, across both legacy and future SW products, to ensure the resolution of reported software product faults

•             Close working liaison with the development team to ensure a timely resolution to reported in-field faults
