Multi site (East Grinstead / Crowborough)

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting the HR Manager and divisions, when required to provide proactive HR & Training support in accordance with business needs
  • Acting as the first port of call for all HR & Training related queries
  • Administering and collating HR-related documentation as required
  • Ensuring that employee personnel files are kept up to date
  • Assisting in the recruitment process as necessary by compiling job adverts, setting up interviews and issuing relevant correspondence
  • Assisting in the generation of HR documentation including job offers and contracts of employment
  • Maintaining the HR system
  • Manage absence process
  • Coordinate volunteers and work experience placements
  • Promotion of best practice
  • Supporting managers with and running employee relations issues
  • Designing the induction for new starters
  • Helping to deliver training on HR related topics
  • Assisting with employee engagement projects
  • Maintaining and updating the HR database
  • Adhoc duties when required supporting the wider HR team

Key skills and experience:

  • Very organised with the ability to prioritise workloads
  • Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards it
  • Exposure to employee relation processes
  • Understanding of employment law
  • Attention to detail and able to understand detailed information
  • Interpersonal skills to form effective working relationships with people at all levels
  • Experience working in an HR functions
  • Integrity and approachable, as colleagues must feel able to discuss sensitive and confidential issues
