Financial Crime Analytics Consultant, Full Time

Our client provides high-end research and analytic services to worldwide leading corporations, commercial and investment banks, asset management firms and insurance companies. Experts within the fields of business intelligence, equity research, fixed income research, actuarial analysis, structured finance, pricing complex derivatives, valuations and risk management.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Implementing a variety of rules and scenarios, using the AML Vendor tools stated
  • Using tuning methodology for the tuning and validation of thresholds for scenarios
  • Implementing thresholds in the AML TM system
  • Managing internal stakeholders and client projects
  • Leading projects, implementing fraud compliance or AML for banks

 

Key Skills and Attributes

  • A rich knowledge of fraud analytics or AML and at least 4 years’ experience in financial crime analytics, with exposure to threshold analysis and customer segmentation
  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of business lines and the banking industry
  • Expert numerical and analytical skills, confirmed by pioneering analysis projects and statistical / quantitative research
  • Experienced threshold tuning scenarios in AML essential
  • Strong exposure to technologies and databases, business intelligence resources in the banking industry and data mining
  • Excellent communication and written/verbal English
  • Able to create and deliver impressive presentations
  • Knowledgeable of threshold tuning methodologies and implementation, with exposure to ATL/BTL
  • Strong experience of threshold tuning and optimisation essential
  • Extensive experience in SQL, R & Python
  • Exposure to any of industry standard vendor tools including Norkom, SAS ML, Mantas, Actimize-SAM, Trade Surveillance, EFT
  • Familiar with the regulatory environment, with hands-on experience in data mining and analytics

Qualifications

  • M.S. in a related quantitative disciple such as Statistics or Computer Sciences
  • Professional certification such CAMS (AML) is preferred
  • Exposure to Big Data Technologies is desirable
