Salary: £26,000 - £29,000

Due to rapid growth, our client is recruiting a telecom engineer to install, configure, and provide technical support. You will be required to resolve technical problems in-house and client based and investigate any escalated issues.


  • Installation and maintenance of Telephone Systems
  • Responsible for installing and maintaining CCTV
  • Install Access Control, Fault Analysis & resolution
  • Respond to & resolve remote requests and devise & complete clear site survey’s
  • Ensure all applications that are used in connection to the telephone system are maintained and are used correctly i.e. Contact Store, Voicemail, CCR
  • Dealing with house moves and changes on the telephone systems, desk locations, moving hardware and telephone points around
  • Communicate directly with the Support Department regarding faults with telephone systems and various types of telephone lines
  • Providing technical support to the Support Department
  • Assisting all other departments with any technical issues these can be both pre-& post installation & fault related
  • Connect remotely to customer systems to make changes when requested to by customers as part of their maintenance contract
  • Testing returned faulty equipment & advising on action required

Experience and Skills Required

  • Have experience of installing, maintaining and supporting Avaya solutions
  • To provide clear communication internally and externally
  • Previously worked with Hosted telephony systems
  • To be organised, solution focused and provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain a positive and professional manner at all times installing confidence into customers
  • Experience of engineering activity with telephone systems, IT Networking and IP Addresses
  • Self-motivated, team player and problem solver
  • Able to work well on your own and to be able to use your own initiative whilst having a flexible approach to work
  • Thrives in a pressurised environment and can be assertive when dealing with customers
  • Ability to understand and work to service level agreements
  • Full UK Drivers Licence
