Job Role: Core Java Developer – Financial Services - Risk

Job Type: Contract

Salary: Up to £550 per day dependent on experience

Location: London

Our client is seeking a Risk Developer to join their London office, this role is perfect for those interested in big data, analytics and architecture design. You’ll be implementing new risk models, building API’s and tools to allow flexible risk analysis. Driving effective, simple coding and building scalable risk data infrastructure.


Job Responsibilities

· Working on the next gen risk and PL Valuation engine from the ground up

· Contribute in driving innovation in the risk reporting space

· The job requires hands on experience with large production systems, working under tight deadlines and proving appropriate support


Experience and knowledge of

· Core Java

· Java

· TDD/BDD/Test automation

· Design

· Multithreading

· Concurrency

· Knowledge of financial derivatives and risk management

· Experience working with Risk systems

· Working in an agile environment

· Creative, independent thinker

· Good mathematical skills are helpful
